I had a decent stay at Kachina Lodge, enjoying the clean room and excellent location right on the rim. However, the building could use some updates and the check-in process was a bit confusing. Overall, it served as a good base for my Grand Canyon adventures, but I wish there were more amenities available.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and had a rustic decor, although it felt small and needed some updates. The walls were paper thin, which made it less than ideal for privacy.

Check-in at El Tovar was a bit tricky since the lodge isn't clearly marked, especially at night. The staff could have been more informative during the arrival process.
Location

The location is fantastic, making it easy to walk along the Rim Trail and enjoy sunrise views. It's also close to good dining options at El Tovar and Bright Angel restaurants.
Dining

The lodge had basic facilities and valet parking, but I felt it lacked some modern amenities. It was challenging to find parking at times.

My stay at Kachina Lodge was quite pleasant, primarily due to its fantastic location just steps away from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The lodge itself has a charming vibe, although some features could use an update. The dining options nearby are excellent, and I especially enjoyed the view from my room, which made the extra cost worth it. Overall, I had a relaxing time, despite a few minor annoyances.

The rooms are basic but clean, with some being a bit dated. I had a lovely view of the canyon which enhanced my experience. However, the bedside lamp's control system was perplexing and could be improved.
Service
7.0
Service was generally good, though I did experience some minor issues with the housekeeping staff leaving landscaping tools outside my window until I asked them to move them. Still, the overall responsiveness was appreciated.

The lodge has a lovely sitting area with big windows that provide a scenic view. However, I found parking to be a challenge, as the lot can fill up quickly.

I had a decent stay at Kachina Lodge, thanks to its fantastic location just steps from the Grand Canyon. Although the rooms were a bit dated and not overly luxurious, they were clean and functional. I did feel a bit let down by the service at the front desk, which lacked warmth, but the proximity to the trails and dining options made up for some of that.

Rooms

The lack of a lounge area and the parking situation detracted from the experience somewhat. I also noticed the WiFi was very limited, making it tough to stay connected.

I had a good stay at Kachina Lodge, especially with the amazing views of the Grand Canyon right from my room. However, the parking situation was a real hassle, and the Wi-Fi didn't work well at all. Overall, it was a solid choice for being so close to the rim, but I faced a few bumps along the way.
